About
The Artist
"I aspire to be a classical and flamenco guitarist that can command the respect of an audience in any part of the world."

Origin
A Port of Spain Beginning
Stefan Roach was born on the 25th of May, 1987, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and has lived in Diego Martin his entire life. A Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of the West Indies, his true passion has always been music.
Training
Classical Foundations
Stefan began studying classical guitar with Graham Newling in 2001. He successfully completed Grade 8 — the final grade in the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) examinations — and went on to attain the Diploma in Performance Guitar (DipABRSM). In 2008 he won Best Senior Guitar Solo at the National Music Festival.
The Academy
Stefan's Guitar Academy
In 2009 he founded Stefan's Guitar Academy, teaching classical guitar and music theory. It remains one of the few places in Trinidad and Tobago preparing young students for the ABRSM exams in classical guitar. Each year a recital is held, giving students the invaluable experience of performing before an audience.
Performance
From Calypso to Flamenco
Stefan has been exposed to many styles — Parang, Calypso, Reggae and Rock — but flamenco has always captivated him. He launched himself into the performance arena in September 2012 with A Night of Classical and Flamenco Guitar and Dance at Fiesta Plaza, Movie Towne. Since then his unique art form has attracted private and corporate clients alike, gracing the stage at numerous weddings, corporate dinners, cocktails and national functions — making him one of the most sought-after local classical musicians.
Highlights
National Stages
In August 2014, Stefan was chosen to perform at the close of the National Awards on Independence Night, and in September 2015 at the Swearing-In Ceremony of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. He produced Viva — a Musical Production at Queen's Hall to a capacity audience, and travelled to Antigua with his band for a special Old Year's Night performance with dancers from Quindale Productions, Barcelona.
Philosophy
Craft & Service
Stefan works hard at producing a high-quality musical product. He values professionalism and customer service, always aspiring to exceed his clients' expectations. He embraces his niche and is delighted to contribute uniquely to the diverse musical landscape of Trinidad and Tobago.
